The Heavy Agreement covers the following counties: Jackson, Clay, Cass, Platte, and Ray in Missouri and Wyandotte, Johnson, Miami, and Leavenworth in Kansas. Any Heavy work done in any other county will fall under the Commercial agreement for that county.
Effective April 1, 2012, the wages and benefits agreed to in our Kansas City Heavy Constructors Agreement for Cement Mason Journeypersons are $ 29.24 per hour plus $ 14.63 per hour fringe benefit payments.
*WAGES $ 29.24 HEALTH & WELFARE $6.85 PER HOUR PENSION $ 7.23 PER HOUR ADVANCEMENT FUND $ .25 PER HOUR APPRENTICESHIP FUND $ .30 PER HOUR *DUES SUPPLEMENT $ 1.73 PER HOUR *VACATION FUND $ 4.67 PER HOUR FOREMEN (5 men and over), $ 1.00 PER HOUR ABOVE BASE WAGE
The increase of $1.15 was distributed as $.25 on Health and Welfare, $.50 on Pension, and $.40 on Wages.
THE TOTAL PACKAGE FOR A JOURNEYPERSON IS $ 43.87.
*The $ 29.24 wage is taxed and the $4.67 Vacation Fund and dues of $1.73 are deducted in whole and sent in with the fringe benefits.
